Fenton co-founded FACULTY WORLD, a cosmetics and skincare company for men featured in the Business of Fashion and the Wall Street Journal. He raised over $3.5MM for the venture and sold it to Estee Lauder Companies, the world’s largest makeup conglomerate.

Fenton sat on the Board of the Toronto Public Library, the world’s largest Neighborhood Library System, where he chaired the Strategic Planning Committee. He currently sits on the board of the Toronto Transit Commission as the youngest-ever commissioner and the third Black person ever to do so.

DG currently serves as the Principal Secretary to the Mayor of Ottawa, where he oversees the office’s political operations. Having served under the previous mayor, this is DG’s second foray in the mayor’s office, now equipped with nearly 15 years of governing and political organizing experience at the federal, provincial and municipal level.

DG played a central role in the last three Ottawa mayoral campaigns, where his ability to effectively campaign and organize supporters were critical in each victory. As Principal Secretary, DG is utilizing his skills and passions in supporting the Mayor’s vision towards building a more vibrant, affordable and caring city.

During his time working in federal politics, DG served for numerous Ministers, including as consular advisor to Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. In that role, DG worked on key files concerning Canadian bilateral relations, focused on complex consular cases. His ability to make critical decisions and provide actionable advice in crisis situations, such as natural disasters, and civil unrest, supported the Minister’s work in resolving challenging consular cases. 

In his earlier municipal experience, DG led on a number of key files within the Mayor’s office. With the arrival of thousands of Syrian refugees in 2015/16, he developed a roadmap with city staff and local stakeholders to ensure newcomers received support when they arrived in Ottawa. DG also played a leading role in the new central library development project, anchoring the redevelopment of Ottawa’s western downtown.

DG has had the privilege to volunteer with numerous organizations, each with the aim of fostering inclusive and equitable communities, these include the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research, the Club Canadien de Toronto, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs’ LGBTQ2 Advisory committee, and the Canadian International Council’s National Capital Branch.

David Clarke leads government and stakeholder relations for TMX Group, a company best known as the owner of some of the oldest business institutions in Canada like the Toronto Stock Exchange, Montreal Exchange, and TSX Venture Exchange (or “TSXV”). 

David leads TMX’s advocacy efforts with a modern and dynamic approach that sees the company taking a much more active role in the Canadian public policy debate. The best kept secret about Canadian capital markets is that more than half of Canada’s public companies are small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and David is leading the charge on telling TMX’s unique story of helping small businesses grow. 

One of his key messages to political decision makers is: we are not your grandfather's TSX. David’s work is helping to change the perception of TMX from a Bay Street outfit home to Canada's largest companies to a central financial player that is deeply invested in growing our economy as a whole. 

His legal background and knack for connecting with people combine to make David a passionate and effective advocate for Canada’s public markets and the more than 3,000 publicly listed companies on TSX and TSXV. 

David’s dedication to seeking policy solutions to broad economic issues long predates his current position with TMX. David lives in Hamilton, Ontario with his wife Vanessa and three-year old daughter Charlie, where he chairs the board of directors of a local not-for-profit organization focused on delivering top quality affordable child care to the local community.

As the Vice President of New Nuclear Development for Ontario Power Generation (OPG), Sandra oversees the company’s long-term new nuclear growth strategy, building external relationships and creating a pipeline of opportunities.

 

OPG is paving the way for the deployment of new nuclear development in Canada and abroad, building the first-ever, commercial scale Small Modular Reactor (SMR) at its Darlington New Nuclear Site. The New Nuclear team is helping capitalize on OPG’s first-mover advantage contribute value back to Ontario.

Born and raised in Calgary, Kate is passionate about the global energy transition and how macroeconomic trends impact local economic development and the future of her city. Kate also spent six years on Deloitte’s Sustainability & Climate Change team helping national and international organizations develop sustainability strategies, set science-based emissions reduction targets and write sustainability reports. Outside of work Kate is inspired by an insatiable love for the outdoors and is an avid runner, iron(wo)man triathlete, backpacker, and skier – both downhill and cross country. She is also a coach with the Calgary Youth Justice Society in their In The Lead program, supporting young leaders to identify and nurture their strengths. She holds an MSc. Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment from University College London (UCL), and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Environment and Business and Economics from the University of Waterloo. Her superpowers are connecting the dots between seemingly disparate concepts, thinking outside the box, empathy and leading from behind. 

Joanne leads digital public policy for Amazon in Canada. Before joining Amazon, Joanne was Vice President, Corporate and Public Affairs at a national communications and strategy consulting firm. She has over a decade of experience in public affairs and public policy, working across corporate finance, technology, and advanced manufacturing clients, including global banks, pension funds and defence and aerospace firms. She previously led advocacy communication for Canada’s national defence association (CADSI), and started her career in the federal public service. Joanne is on the Board of Directors of the Canadian American Business Council, the Canadian Advocacy Network (Vice Chair from 2018-2021), is Chair of AmCham Canada’s Digital Economy, Co-Chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Future of AI Council, and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers community. She is past Co-Chair of Equal Voice’s NCR chapter and member of their National Board.

Lucksini Raveendran is a Tamil-Canadian and an Advisor at the Ontario Ministry of Health - Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health. Her experiences are focused on improving equitable and sustainable access to health services for underserved communities. She has supported global innovators in program and policy evaluation for a portfolio of infectious disease prevention, maternal and child health projects implemented across Africa, Middle East, and Asia for future scale-up. Additionally, she was involved in cross-sectoral mental health and addictions research across Canada to better address the emerging unmet needs of children/youth, seniors, and racialized communities for COVID-19 recovery efforts. In her role with the province, she continues to better bridge evidence-informed programs and policy development/implementation across different levels of government, public health partners and Indigenous organizations/communities, relating to improving diverse health outcomes for Indigenous Peoples. Other areas of focus include developing strategies for integrated service delivery grounded in holistic health and well-being including trauma-informed care and culture as healing, as well as strengthening digital infrastructure needs inclusive of Indigenous data sovereignty. Furthermore, she serves as a Researcher in AMAPCEO - Women Caucus, developing networking opportunities for self-identifying women working in the Ontario Public Service. This includes fostering partnerships with community organizations, ministry-wide staff, and union representatives to collaborate on events in the areas of mental wellness, workplace rights and leadership development. In her spare time, she holds leadership roles with various organizations that focus on mental health, chronic disease prevention, and community advocacy/outreach. Lucksini has a high degree of self-awareness in leadership which enables her to identify areas for growth, and also creates opportunities for ongoing learning, reflection, and innovation to enact positive social change. 

Conal is currently Senior Manager of Public Affairs at Walmart Canada, where he is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s federal and Ontario government relations strategies. He brings over a decade of experience in government relations and public policy to this role, having worked as an account director and consultant lobbyist for a national government relations firm, as a political consultant, and as a federal civil servant.

As a public affairs professional, Conal is experienced in the development and execution of integrated government and stakeholder relations strategies across various sectors, with a focus on advancing business interests through legislative, regulatory, and policy changes, funding partnerships, and profile-building initiatives. In the past, he has led successful engagements to amend the Criminal Code of Canada, to secure federal funding for COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics, and to facilitate immigration opportunities in the supply chain and sports entertainment sectors. He also played a significant role in engagements to ensure approval for Investment Canada Act transactions, adoption of a national carbon capture strategy, and federal funding for major projects and fundamental research initiatives. 

He was in the Top 25 list of most active federal consultant lobbyists in the last session of Parliament, according to the Lobby Monitor.

Conal currently serves on the Board of Directors of Katimavik Youth Services and the Ottawa Safety Council. He lives in Ottawa but is originally from Whitehorse, Yukon.

Skylar Franke is currently serving her first term as Councillor for Ward 11. She can most often be found right in the thick of conversations about the community, environment, and politics in this city. 

Prior to becoming a City Councillor, she worked in London’s environmental sector for over eight years and supported a wide variety of environmental projects in the city. She was previously the Executive Director at the London Environmental Network and worked for ReForest London. 

She graduated in 2013 from King’s University College at Western University with an honours B.A. in Social Justice and Peace Studies and French Studies.

Teslin is an environmental policy wonk whose expertise is in clean growth, net-zero industrial transition and zero emissions transportation. She has recently joined the provincial Ministry of Infrastructure as a Senior Policy Advisor and is supporting the development of mixed-use, high-density neighbourhoods near public transit. Prior to that she was a Senior Researcher at the Smart Prosperity Institute, an environment-economy think tank based out of the University of Ottawa. At SPI, Teslin led the Institute’s research on zero-emissions vehicles with a focus on addressing the skilled labour needed to meet the ZEV industry's 2030 production targets and help Canada reach its climate goals. Her work on advancing the public procurement of cleantech in Canada helped establish the MaRS coalition on cleantech procurement. The coalition, where she is a member, brings together stakeholders from all three levels of government, cleantech industry leaders and procurement experts to co-create a pathway for increasing the uptake of clean technologies in public procurement. Her work in Canadian clean growth and environmental policy comes on top of over six years of international experience, including as a Legislative Assistant to a Member of the Indian federal Parliament and as a government relations consultant to Fortune 500 companies. She is a DAAD Public Policy and Good Governance Scholar and has a Masters in Public Policy from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Germany. She also has a BA LLB (Hons.) degree and is a lawyer called to the Bar in India.

Shirley’s commitment to public service is underpinned by her belief in leveraging interdisciplinary approaches to better serve the Canadian public. Her role involves delivering strategic policy advice and recommendations on complex issues, particularly in the realms of public employment, enterprise cybersecurity, emerging technology, and bridging innovation to defence capability. This work significantly enhances Canada's engagement and consultation with international and intergovernmental partners, marking her as a key contributor to national and global policy dialogues. 

Shirley's professional journey also includes invaluable service with the Canadian Armed Forces. This chapter of her life not only showcases her dedication to Canada but also afforded her the unique experience of participating in a High Arctic expedition, emphasizing her adventurous spirit and commitment to serving her country. Continuing her dedication, Shirley has served as an active reservist since 2014, demonstrating unwavering commitment to her roles both in and out of uniform. 

Beyond her work in national security and policy, Shirley is deeply involved in community service through roles in several organizations, including the McGill Alumni Public Policy Society and the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community. As a Board Member at Andrew Fleck Children's Services—one of Ontario's largest providers of children's services—Shirley's efforts are testament to her dedication to enhancing the lives of Canadian families and their children, further highlighting her comprehensive approach to public service and community welfare.

Allies day job is at Mash Strategy. A campaign strategist at the proudly Canadian agency known for their branding, messaging and advertising for Conservative Party of Canada Leader Pierre Pollievre. 

She started volunteering for political organizations in university and hasn’t stopped since. 

As a strategist with roots in BC, she has been the deputy Campaign Manager for various leadership campaigns, including Andrew Wilkinson, Gavin Dew and Pierre Poilievre in BC.
 

But like any good campaigner, her areas of expertise are building advocacy campaigns for natural resources and crime and safety initiatives.

Natasha Hope Morano, M.A., Founder and President of NHM Connect, is a distinguished expert in corporate and government relations. With a background in the non-profit sector, she offers strategic advice to a diverse client base. As former Vice President of the Economic Club of Canada, she hosted global influencers, earning respect in business, academic, and political circles. An advocate for small businesses, children's rights, and cancer research, Natasha's philanthropy includes contributions to 'Making it in High Heels 4' and being named a 40 Under 40 recipient for 2023 by the Ottawa Business Journal and Ottawa Board of Trade. As part of NHM Connect's corporate social responsibility, Natasha mentors women founders on a monthly basis to support them with business strategies.

As a keen relationship-builder, Zane lives and breathes political outreach. He currently works as the manager of government relations for Extendicare, Canada’s largest long-term care and home healthcare companies, having spent years previously working at Queen’s Park.

In 2021, Zane co-launched Not My Tummy to chronicle a journey to parenthood via gestational surrogacy. Since then, Zane dove head-first into fertility advocacy, joining the board of Conceivable Dreams, Ontario's voice for fertility care, spearheading their third lobby day this past fall. Zane continues to be a regular resource for people with fertility challenges or pursuing surrogacy as a means to build their family.

I am a thought leader, organizer, and financial communicator focused on the intersection of policy, communications and activism. I’m particularly focused on sustainable finance, civic engagement, and mentoring young professionals and skilled in issues management, executive communications, change communications, government advocacy, and social media strategy. I help manage thought leadership and executive communications for CPP Investments. I am the board chair of New Majority, an organization focused on igniting the spirit of civic engagement. In 2023, the organization’s canvassers had meaningful conversations with more than 300,000 young people, listening to their issues through the Youth Perspectives Survey, moving them to action on their Green Development Standards petition, and strengthening democratic action by encouraging participation from first-time voters during the Alberta and Manitoba provincial elections.

I am a public affairs professional, podcaster and political commentator who has spent my career working to elevate Saskatchewan and the people that live in this province. I am very proud of the work I do in public affairs, particularly as the founding President of the Saskatchewan chapter of the Public Affairs Association of Canada (PAAC). Through our PAAC Saskatchewan chapter I have worked to highlight the important work public affairs professionals do in Saskatchewan. Keldon Bester is the Executive Director of the Canadian Anti-Monopoly Project (CAMP), a think tank dedicated to addressing the issue of monopoly in the Canadian economy, and a Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). Keldon has worked as a Special Advisor at Canada's Competition Bureau, and as a Fellow at the Open Markets Institute in Washington, D.C.. Keldon holds a master of public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a bachelor's degree in economics from Queen’s University. Keldon has roots across Canada but is currently an Ottawa resident and can be found skating on the canal any day it’s open.

Jonathan Scott was elected Town Councillor for Ward 2 in a December 2020 by-election and was reelected in October 2022 with over 79% of the vote. 

Jonathan serves as chair of the Green Initiatives Committee, vice-chair of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority and on the Strategic Projects Committee. Previously, he was Council’s liaison to the Food Bank, chair of the Downtown Revitalization Committee, vice-chair of the Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library Board, on the Economic Development Committee, Anti-Racism Committee, and was a student trustee on the Simcoe County District School Board. He is also a member of the Ontario Greenbelt Council. Jonathan was a board member of St John’s Presbyterian Church and was awarded the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury ‘Outstanding Achievement’ civic award in 2007.

He works as Vice-President at Key Gordon Inc., a Toronto-based advertising firm. He is an experienced consultant for advocacy, business development, government relations and communications. Robin Guy is the Vice President and Deputy Leader, Government Relations at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

Robin has over a decade experience in public affairs on Parliament Hill. In addition to serving as Chief of Staff to the Federal Minister of Sport, Robin has led policy files across a variety of ministerial offices, working with the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, the Minister of International Cooperation and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

As the Vice President and Deputy Leader of Government Relations, Robin plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of one of the country's largest business advocacy associations. In addition to managing the Canadian Chamber’s day-to-day government relations, Robin serves as the principal staff for the Western Executive Council, Food Supply Council, and Ottawa Liaison Committee. In this capacity, he collaborates closely with council members, guiding them in the identification of critical policy positions that drive tangible change for businesses across Canada.

Robin has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Carleton University. He currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario.

James Janeiro is a public policy and advocacy professional with over a decade of experience in politics, policy and government relations. As director of policy and government relations at the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence, James leads an ambitious national and pan-Canadian advocacy and policy development agenda focused on substantive and practical reform.

He began his career in the Ontario Public Service, working on disability legislation. He then transitioned to the political policy space and served two successive Ontario ministers of community and social services as senior policy advisor on social assistance, poverty, disability, and veterans’ issues.

In 2014, James assumed a new role, serving Premier Kathleen Wynne as her social policy advisor. In this position, he was responsible for a diverse array of policy areas, including poverty reduction, housing, the Basic Income Pilot, disability issues, autism services and municipal affairs. In 2018, James left the government for a senior role in the not-for-profit sector. He was director of community engagement and policy at Community Living Toronto from 2018 to 2022. In this role, James developed and executed advocacy strategies focused on housing, income security, and service improvement.

He holds an honours BA in political science, history, and languages and a master’s in public policy from the University of Toronto. James lives in Toronto with his wife, dog and two cats.

Kate is dedicated to defending Canada’s interests and has committed the last 7 years to doing just that through her military and public service, research, and publications. 

Kate joined the Canadian Armed Forces reserve force in 2017 and completed her training at the Naval Officer Training College in 2020. Now, she teaches junior officers about Canada’s naval operations and how these contribute to Canada’s defence and foreign affairs objectives.

After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in 2022, Kate began her Master of Public Policy degree at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. There, she has focused her degree on studying Arctic security and infrastructure development, aiming to find ways to help develop and defend Canadian and Inuit interests in the North. Kate’s rigorous academic work has been recognized through 18 honours and accolades awarded during her studies.

Outside of academia and her military service, Kate is a fellow at four of Canada’s premier Arctic, Foreign Affairs, and defence policy think tanks: Arctic360, the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, the North American and Arctic Defence and Security Network, and the Policy Insights Forum. So far, she has published 32 articles, podcasts, and infographics and presented on two expert panels on Canadian politics and security issues.

At 26 years old, Kate is proud of her accomplishments and aspires to continue making contributions to Canada’s defence and security.

Lhori is a young professional and community leader with executive-level experience leading teams and creatively problem-solving. 

As a passionate community organizer and young policy leader, she applies her abilities to overcome challenging situations, developed through her diverse experiences, to her career. Now serving as the Director of Policy and Labour Relations, Lhori leads the team tasked with carrying out and implementing the Minister of Labour and Seniors policy agenda, as well as leading the Minister’s Office in federal disputes and work stoppages. After serving in both the Prime Minister's Office and for the Minister of Health on the COVID-19 pandemic response and recovery, she chose to afterwards move into a policy space where she could directly work on disruptive issues related to how Canadians view the role of labour in their lives. During this time of revived global labour interest and an inflection point where many are examining the role of labour in their lives and what they can and should expect from a workplace, Lhori feels very fortunate to be able to work on policies such as the Act to Ban Replacement Workers (C-58), and on the federal government's commitment to modernize the Employment Equity Act, amongst other things. 

As Founding Chair of both Pinoys on Parliament National Youth Leadership Conference and Kabangka Canada (National Not-for-Profit), she strives not only to advance representation through her own work but also builds spaces that didn’t exist rather than wait for adaptations to be made. Lhori led a team that built a national annual hub to convene and highlight the significant contributions of the FilCan community to Canadian society through POP and Kabangka. The organization reaches thousands of people nationally and internationally through its programming – including POP, mentorship programs, community building, networking events, educational seminars, and arts and culture programming.

Lhori is very excited to announce that as of February 2024, she will be launching a scholarship program through Kabangka to support high-school graduates' access to post-secondary education.
