Job openings with remote work options have dropped over a percentage point from 2022 peaks, hitting 14.3% in mid-2024. And overall, job openings are down by about 40% since 2022. In 2019, only about 2.9% of job postings had remote options, which rose to 15.5% by February 2022 at the height of a post-pandemic hiring frenzy.
