Ida Seifu is a dynamic and highly motivated results-oriented Ontario licensed lawyer with experience and expertise in privacy, contract, governance, public policy, and business. She currently practises as the Associate General Counsel at Mitacs Inc., a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting high-quality research and innovation by delivering programs that build linkages between academic and organizations, across all disciplines.
Ida earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at York University (Glendon Campus) and graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Sussex in Brighton, England. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022.
Ida is an assertive team member with strong interpersonal and communication skills who thrives in a collaborative team environment, while also working independently. In her practice, Ida is adept at providing strategic legal advice, managing complex legal matters, and driving corporate objectives in a fast-paced environment while embodying the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability. She has a high tolerance for ambiguity and the flexibility for agile decision-making, thriving in fast-paced/results-oriented environments.
While not in the office, Ida enjoys travelling and supporting grassroot community organizations.
